Oktoberfest
September 23, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm
$8 – $10
Oktoberfest’s back …
and we’re ‘goin’ to town!’
No, that’s not a typo — the 2021 Great Northwest Oktoberfest “ain’t dead yet!” In fact, we’ll be revving things up and “going to town” September 23-25, at a bar, nightclub or beer garden near you!
Unfortunately we can’t do our thing in Depot Park this year, so we’ll be taking our show on the road … though we’re not really travelling all that far.
Three of our most popular Whitefish watering holes — the Great Northern Bar & Grill, Casey’s and the Montana Tap House — have partnered-up with the Chamber to keep our Oktoberfest traditions alive, and they’ll each be hosting a day (or night) of Bavarian madness.
The show must go on … and it will!
“Oktoberfest may look a little bit different this year,” said Chamber director Kevin Gartland, “but it’s gonna be the real deal … great German food, beer. music and dancing, along with all of the usual Oktoberfest nonsense — stein-holding, log-sawing, chicken-dancing and the coronation of a new Hop Queen.”
So, what do you need to know? Know this … advance sale tickets for this year’s fest will be available next Tuesday — Sept. 14 — at the Chamber offices and at each of the clubs that are hosting the fest. And they will sell out. So stop by and see us soon, and make sure you’re not left out in the cold!

Admission is $10 per day ($8 in advance). Advance sale tickets are available at the Whitefish Chamber of Commerce (505 E. Second Street), and at each of the clubs.
Thursday and Friday nights are 21+ ONLY events; ID will be required. Kids under 12 (accompanied by a parent) are free on Saturday afternoon at the Tap House.
Thursday, Sept 23rd is “Locals Night” — Bring an ID that shows you’re a Flathead Valley resident and you ‘ll get your first Hofbrau draft or Bayern brew free! It’s our Opening Night celebration … at The Northern!
Friday, Sept. 24 is the “Hop Queen Qualifier” — This year’s Hop Queen candidates will take to the stage (and dancefloor) at Casey’s to make their case for winning the 2021 crown!
Saturday, Sept. 25 is “Family Day” — Kids 12 and under (with parents) get in free for a full afternoon of festivities outdoors in the Montana Tap House Beer Garden
Get ready for authentic German beer, food, music and dancing, with entertainment provided by Europa — one of America’s most sought-after Oktoberfest band — and Schuhplattler Gruppe Alpenrose, a traditional bavarian folk dancing troupe fro the East Coast!
Then it’s time for you to get into act, by entering one of our hourly audience participation contests, like log sawing, stein holding or chicken dancing.
