Arts in the Park

There is nothing like a weekend filled with arts, crafts, music, food and fun. The Hockaday Arts in the Park festival is certainly a local favorite. This festival is one of the longest running arts festivals in Montana. The festival is held in the Kalispell Depot Park in the center of Downtown Kalispell Friday through Saturday, July 15 to 17, 2022. Guests will expect to enjoy juried art and craft booths, food and specialty booths, live music and entertainment, premium wine and beer garden and lots of fun children’s activities.

Hockaday ARTS IN THE PARK Details

Arts in the Park is a benefit event for the Hockaday Museum of Art. All admission proceeds support the Museum in its mission and programs.
For your safety, Arts in the Park will be following all CDC and health department requirements regarding COVID-19 health requirements including masking, social distancing and increased sanitization measures.

Admission is $5 for a 3-day unlimited pass (which also grants you admission to the Museum during or after the festival), and children under 12 are free. Buy your pass button in advance at the museum! Learn more about the Hockaday Arts in the Park – HERE.

Hockaday Museum of Art

The cultural history of the Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park
The Hockaday Museum of Art itself is housed in a stunning classical-revival-style building, originally erected as the town library in 1901. In addition to rotating exhibits, it has a permanent “Crown of the Continent” exhibition that features 15 historic Glacier National Park murals, as well as work from some of the best-known Western artists, including Charles M. Cabin Fever Craft & Vendor Show

There is something about retail therapy that really helps with the Cabin Fever during winter. You are invited to a FREE shopping event at the Flathead County Fairgrounds in Kalispell, Montana, on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 3pm until 7pm and Saturday February 12, 2022, from 9am until 4pm. There will be something for everyone with a variety of folks selling their items. Come on out and support small local businesses and artisans in the Flathead Valley Area.  There will be over eighty vendors including great food  and even a Free Valentine’s Photo Booth. Also, don’t forget Valentine’s day is February 14….just in case you do not have the perfect gift for your sweetheart, you have the perfect opportunity at the Cabin Fever Craft & Vendor Show.

Valentine's Village Market

On February 5, 2022, from noon until 5pm, the Valentine’s Village Market will take place at 115 Swam River Road in Bigfork, Montana. This event will celebrate the season of love and affection. There will be lots of great handcrafted gifts and goods just in time for Valentine’s Day. Some of the handmade gifts include Hand-poured beeswax and scented soy candles, Handmade chocolates, caramel, and cookies, Handcrafted jewelry and accessories, Herbal remedies and skincare products, One of a kind arts, crafts, and greeting cards and seasonal décor and  home goods.  Guests will also get the opportunity to warm up with complimentary hot coffee and tea and chocolates. 

Our “Village Markets” encourage our local community members, curators, and small business owners to celebrate the holidays together — a truly handmade and local series of events within the Flathead Valley!

Christmas Extravaganza

The market has grown larger every year since it began in 1974. Guests will find  a variety of wonderful items to purchase from homemade jewelry and pottery to fresh meats and vegetables, and you can’t forget to pickup some wonderful desserts like cookies, bear claws and more. The Kalispell Farmers Market will begin again the first Saturday of May 2022.

Whitefish Farmers’ Market

Whitefish Farmers' Market

If you enjoy shopping, live music, prepared foods and the freshest products from local farmers, then you really need to check out the Whitefish Farmers’ Market. The Whitefish Downtown Farmers’ Market takes place Tuesdays all summer long from 5:00pm until 7:30pm, and the market will end on September 28, 2021. There will be a bonus harvest market on October 12 though. This market is organized by the Heart of Whitefish, The downtown merchants’ association.
