Huckleberry Days Arts Festival 2022

The 33rd Huckleberry Days Arts Festival will take place August 12 through 14, 2022, in the Depot Park (Railway St. & Central Avenue). Whether you are looking for great food and music or unique crafts and fine arts, The Huckleberry Days 2022 Festival will have everything you are looking for and it’s FREE!  This festival is great for all ages.

There will be over 100 different artists of fine arts and crafts. Activities Include:  Aerial dance performances by Levitation Nation on Saturday and Sunday  A living statue and Glacier Bank will be serving up free Huckleberry Ice Cream too.

Heritage Days 2022 

Columbia Falls heritage Das

The Columbia Falls Heritage Days 2022 is taking place July 27 through July 31, 2022. The annual community celebration in Columbia Falls began in 1956. The original event was organized to celebrate the prosperity brought about by the industrial expansion of the area, which, in addition to the railroad and lumber business, now included the Anaconda Aluminum Company’s new plant just north of Columbia Falls.

This year’s Heritage Days 2022 is sure to be a lot of fun from car shows and BBQs  to raffles and even an Arts and Crafts show at Marantette Park. This year’s theme is Best of Times! Learn more – HERE.

The Annual Flathead Cherry Festival is coming to Polson, Montana, July 30 through July 31, 2022. This festivals is all about cherries and they promise to be at their peak ripeness for this festival. It is the perfect opportunity to shop artists, vendors and freshly backed treats while discovering the history of cherries all down Polson Main Street.

Get ready and be creative on your block of the sidewalk—an all-ages contest with prizes for winners in different categories. Pick up chalk beginning at noon. The contest will be judged at 5 PM.

Pancake Breakfast 7 AM-11 am ELKS LODGE
Enjoy a full pancake breakfast for $5 and start your morning right. Organized by the Polson Chamber of Commerce.  

Exhibits and Montana Made Items: Come see, eat, purchase, or sell an amazing assortment of everything from art, photos, and crafts to foods and treats. Visit our fine vendors and local businesses Saturday, July 30  from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, July 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Polson Business Community invites you to participate in the 23rd annual Polson Main Street Flathead Cherry Festival. We are proud to note that this two-day event has been recognized among the top five MUST SEE tourism attractions in the state.

This year’s event will be held Saturday & Sunday from July 30-31 You are encouraged to book hotel rooms early, as July is always a busy month.

THIS IS A TWO-DAY EVENT AND VENDORS MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS.  Except for emergencies, failure to attend both days forfeits participation the following year.

Advance set-up:  Friday – after 7 p.m.

Set-up: Saturday – 6:30 a.m. – All vehicles must be off the streets by 9 a.m.
Saturday Hours: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Streets will remain closed that night with security.
Sunday Hours: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. All vendors must agree to be present during these hours.

Adults (18+) General Admission: WHITE $20. RED $30. BLUE $40 Kids (7-17) General Admission: WHITE $10. Kids (6 under) Free WHITE. General admission seating will be in the expanded general bleacher seating and any open grass area including hill or open general admission standing areas around arena. Red, White and Blue ticketing bleacher sections will be painted colors and those ticketing sections are first come first serve based on ticket purchase. Kids ticket pricing is in white bleacher section only otherwise standard ticket pricing.

RED: Lower bleachers outside sections.

BLUE: Front center arena lower bleachers sections.

WHITE: Upper bleachers and north bleachers any open grass area including hill or open general admission standing areas around arena.

VIP TICKETS:

Adults (18+) VIP: $75. Kids (All) VIP: $40. VIP area will include table seating for all attendees, all access in VIP tent, one ticket to BBQ line, all you can eat taco bar, free beer provided by Coors, two wine tickets or craft beer tickets per adult attendee 21+, free bottle water and sodas and a meet and greet with cowboys and stock before and after performance. (VIP Tickets are very limited to 250 Adults and 50 Kids which will sell out quickly.)

Have you ever wanted to see a B-25 Mitchell or a B-17 Flying Fortress…how about fly in one? Starting at 11am on July 5, 2022, you will get the opportunity to have an experience of a lifetime at the Flying Legends Victory Tour. 

Flying in these airplanes, it’s a visceral experience. They’re loud, there is wind blowing through the airplane while you’re flying, there are no comfortable seats … It’s a different type of experience. ~Mike Mueller, Director of the Commemorative Air Force

The B-17 Bomber is a heavy Bomber Bristling with armament. They earned a deadly reputation and were legendary for their ability to return home after taking brutal poundings. The B-25 was developed by North American Aviation and used mainly as a low altitude strafe and skip bomber. Nearly 10,000 B-25s were produced and “Maid in the Shade” is one of 34 still flying today.

The B-25 will land at 11am on July 5, 2022 and the B-17 should arrive on July 7, 2022. The aircraft are open for public viewing between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and between 2 and 6 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for tours, which run $15 per person or $30 for a family of four, are available at the gate. If you are interested in taking a flight in these aircrafts, tickets are available Friday through Sunday. Tickets range from $375-$850. Learn more – HERE.

The fourth of July has been a federal United States of America holiday since 1941 that celebrate American independence. We celebrate with our families and friends with BBQ and Fireworks, and we remember all of the heroes that have made our freedoms possible. So, whether you are at home or heading out to join others, take a moment to remember those heroes.

This year’s 4th of July Parade theme is Community First. Bigfork knows how to throw a party. And when it is our country’s birthday, Bigfork really knows how to celebrate. Centerpiece of the celebration is the annual parade through Bigfork which begins at noon. Bring your whole family to view our great parade to celebrate the birth of our country. The 4th of July Parade in Kalispell is a wonderful experience for everyone in the community to enjoy and this year it is organized by the Flathead Marines. It is the perfect way to celebrate America’s Independence Day with family, friends and lots of fun. The theme of the parade will always be patriotic proudly promoting and supporting America’s Red, White and Blue. The parade features horse clubs, beautiful floats, color guards, antique vehicles, stilt walkers, fire trucks, veteran groups, youth groups and bands….all dressed in the colors of the day. One of the most exciting elements, especially for the kids, is that many of the float riders and participants will hand out candy and other treats. The parade starts at 10am and head down Main Street.

The Conrad Mansion Museum – Annual Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social

Every year, the Conrad Mansion hosts a wonderful 4th of July Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social after the Kalispell Parade from 11am until 2pm. The ice cream is donated by the Kalispell Kreamery and is sure to be a big hit with both kids and adults. There are also several food trucks and even self-guided tours for $5 per person of the Conrad Mansion Museum. Guests will also enjoy live music performed by Artist Robinson from 12-1pm. The City of Whitefish Parks and Recreation Department is preparing for another fun-filled 4th of July celebration at Whitefish City Beach with fireworks and food vendors to celebrate the occasion. There will be numerous vendors at Whitefish City Beach on July 4th including shaved ice, mini-doughnuts, kettle corn, ice cream, corndogs, and barbecue. Vendors will open in the early evening and stay open until the fireworks start. Learn more – HERE.

Get your blanket and maybe some lawn chairs and head on over to the Depot Park for free outdoor concerts. This summer, the Kalispell Parks & Recreation Concert Series is hosting Picnic in the Park on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday afternoons. The free concerts take place in Kalispell’s downtown Depot Park. There will also be lots of great food vendors to complement the great live musical lineup.

Ducks for Bucks Whitewater Race

Get your ducks read….On Your Marks, Get Set, and Go, all for Ducks for Bucks Whitewater Race. On Monday, July 4, 2022, there will be a lot of yellow duckies in Swan River starting at 4:00pm. You can participate by purchasing ducks or you can simply enjoy the race. All proceeds from the event go to support the Bigfork High School Scholarship Program.

Ducks for Bucks are back! Buy a duck for $5 or a 6 Quack for $25. Come to Bigfork to watch the 4th of July Parade, then at 4pm, head over to the single lane bridge to watch the ducks race down the Swan River.

The owner of the first duck under the bridge wins $200! Second place is $100 and third is $50. Proceeds support the Bigfork High School Scholarship Program.

Six Quacks are available to purchase online or visit Eva Gates, Electric Avenue Gifts, or the Chamber office to make an in-person purchase.  Please provide a valid email address and your duck numbers will be emailed to you after your purchase.

The summers can get a little slow in the learning area for kids, but the Imagine If Libraries have a lot of great things going on to help. On Wednesday, June 11, 2022, from 11am until 1pm, head on over to the Ark Building located at 8559 MT Highway 35 for the Bigfork Play Expo. The learning experience is free and it explores some exciting STEAM topics.
