On May 19, 2022, from 6 until 9pm, come on out to the Snowline Acres for Dress To The Nines and Dine for the Flathead Youth Home. This will be a start studded evening all to support our community’s youth. There will be a catered dinner by Forage Catering, Hosted Bar, Live Music, Silent and Live Auction. This year’s Dress To The Nines theme is Starry, Starry Night!

“One of our amazing past residents will share a story followed by a rousing live auction with some exciting adventure opportunities. We will close out the evening with a paddle call in support of the kids at the Flathead Youth Home.”

About Youth Homes

Youth Homes is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization that cares for children who are facing abuse, neglect, emotional trauma and substance abuse problems. Through our emergency shelters, therapeutic group homes, foster care and adoption programs and counseling services, we provide a safe refuge for kids while they begin the difficult process of healing. Tickets for the Taste of Bigfork are $40 per person and available for sale April 1 at Electric Avenue Gifts and the Bigfork Area Chamber office. At 5:00 after you’re full and happy, the world’s greatest raffle will take place at the Garden Bar & Grill. Many great items are donated by Bigfork Area merchants for you to win. Are you ready to party for a cause? On Saturday, April 9, 2022, The Samaritan House is hosting the 15th Annual Cowboy Up Fundraiser at Snowline Acres in Kalispell, Montana. At 5pm the doors will open to a full night of dinner, live auction, silent auction, music and just a great night of fun!

“Our live + silent auctions will have goods and services donated by local businesses and individuals from Flathead Valley. You’re not going to want to miss what’s up for grabs! All proceeds from our auction go directly towards our mission here at Samaritan House. We’re passionate about providing our homeless community with resources and we can’t do that without your help.”

The Samaritan House Cowboy Up Fundraiser has over 100 items to be auctioned off from private guided Snowshoe Tours in Glacier National Park and Fishing Charters on Flathead Lake to Private Bottling Party, Artwork and more. There will be something for every person to bid to support the Samaritan House.

About Samaritan House

The Samaritan House is a local nonprofit seeking to end homelessness in the Flathead Valley. We come alongside residents in a variety of ways, including encouraging their efforts to find employment and housing. On a typical nightly stay at Samaritan House, there are 64 clients in the shelter program and 32 clients in our transitional and permanent apartments. Our shelter program has the capacity to house 32 individuals, 4 families, 4 individual veteran pods, and 14 individual transitional apartments. Samaritan House also has the ability to provide permanent apartments to those who have completed the shelter program. Annual Chili Cook-Off

Do you have what it takes to cook the best chili in the Valley? But, if you do not want to cook, how are you at eating? On Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 1pm until 4pm, at the Kalispell Elks Lodge & Event Center. Guests can enjoy all the chili that can be eaten including the fix-ens all for $10. Plus, children 12 and under are free. My True Freedom band will be performing live throughout the event. So, come on out to the Annual Chili Cook-Off and have some fun selecting the best chili chef.

What are you doing on Saturday mornings? Are you looking for one of the best Farmers’ Markets in the area? The Kalispell Farmers’ Market is absolutely wonderful and takes place May 7 through October 15, 2022 in the Flathead Community College South Parking Lot from 9am until 12:30pm. If you are looking for fresh vegetables and fruits or maybe local meats, don’t worry, the Kalispell Farmers’ Market has a wonderful selection. But wait, that is not all, they also have local crafts, jewelry, quilts, handbags, clothing, baked goods, jams, Blacksmith items, homemade candles and soaps, red squirrel almonds, local honey, and plants. There are so many great local vendors to choose from at the Kalispell Farmer’s Market. We definitely recommend shopping local!

Kalispell Farmers’ Market Details

In May of 1974, the Kalispell Farmers’ Market was established, providing the perfect location for locals to support other locals. The vendors have increased over the years and so have all of the people in the community coming to shop and support the market.

As the number of vendors has grown, the variety of goods for sale has expanded as well. Today a wide selection of vegetables, baked goods, garden plants, cut and dried flowers, fresh frozen meat and fish can usually be found as well as many unique arts and crafts. Best of all is the camaraderie among the vendors and the community. The market is a great place to visit your neighbors on a Saturday morning while enjoying getting FRESH produce, plants, unique gifts, furniture, coffee, sweet treats, and delicious hot and cold food.

The market takes place on Saturday mornings from 9:00am – 12:30pm outside at the Flathead Valley Community College for 24 consecutive weeks, always beginning on the first Saturday of May and running through mid October. The market is broken down into 2 seasons, Spring and Fall with a final market indoors usually on the 3rd Saturday in October which is the Holiday and Harvest Market. On Saturday, March 19, 2022, Flathead Valley Ducks Unlimited presents Flathead Valley Firearm Frenzy. The doors open at 11am where guests will get to enjoy a great event, food, and lots of chances to win firearms and other cool stuff. There will be guns from the following manufacturers: Mossberg, Ruger, Savage, Taurus, CVA, Franchi, Canik, ATI, Beretta, Kimber, Tikka and Winchester. Everyone can have as many chances as they would like by purchases raffle tickets. Tickets are $20 each, 6 tickets for $100, and 20 for $250. Your $20 FIREARM FRENZY ticket not only gets you into the 20 Gun Super Raffle, but it gets you into the event for FREE FOOD and DRINKS!!! There is something so wonderful when it comes to a nice big breakfast and of course pancakes! On Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 8 am until 11 am, head over to the Whitefish Foursquare Church located at 233 Kalispell Avenue in Whitefish for a Pancake Breakfast. There will be pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, coffee, juice and tea. All of the proceeds will benefit the Flathead Celtic Festival 501 (c) 3. Our programs include holding fundraising events in order to promote our agenda and create funds to make the festival fiscally viable and sustainable for years to come.

The Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser is a great way to support the upcoming Flathead Celtic Festival which will take place on September 9-10, 2022 at the Centennial Farm in Kalispell. About Big Mountain Commercial Association

The Big Mountain Commercial Association is a non-profit public trade association that raises funds to pay for common services and programs. These include funding for the SNOW bus, Big Mountain Road winter maintenance, the Big Mountain Summer & Spring Brewfest, and the Winter Winefest.

The 13th Annual Bigfork Brewfest 2022 is on Bigfork’s Main Street, Electric Avenue this year offering plenty of room to spread out and enjoy Montana beer. Guests will enjoy Luke Dowler & Kelly Garber who will be preforming in front of the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts. There will be additional performance in front of the Garden Bar. Plus, Brew-Bus tickets are available for $10 round trip to ensure a safe fun time for everyone. Merchandise for Bigfork Brewfest will be available to buy early or day of in front of The Montana Scene in the Double Eagle courtyard.
