This year will be different than last year because things are starting to get back to normal which means Small Business Saturday 2021 will take place. On Saturday, November 27, 2021, the Small Business Season in Whitefish will take place and culminates with the Christmas Stroll on December 10, 2021.

Vintage Christmas Trees & Ugly Sweaters!

It is that time of year when the vintage Christmas trees and the Ugly sweaters need to be put on display. The Stumptown Art Studio in Whitefish, Montana, is hosting a Light Up The Night event on Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 7:30pm until 9:30pm.  The party will feature a variety of holiday bisque to paint from light up vintage Christmas trees and vintage cars to a cactus or even a holiday sleigh or snowman.

Light Up the Night Party – Vintage Christmas Trees & Ugly Sweaters! Details

Each item is priced individually and must be pre-ordered before the event date. Retro holiday tunes, festive snacks, and beverages served and don’t forget your “ugly” sweaters (not required but, ’tis the season!) Your trees will be glazed and fired and ready for pickup one week after the party date. Tickets are $5 and are available online – HERE.

As a community art center, Stumptown Art Studio takes pride in serving people of all ages and abilities, from professional artists to backyard artists, and to anyone seeking an artistic adventure. ART OUTREACH: Stumptown Art Studio provides art opportunities for kids and adults in our own classroom and off-site art instruction in area schools through field trips and off-site outreach classes. Our traveling art mobile, the Van Gogh…visits locations throughout the area; public and private schools, special needs organizations, youth enrichment programs, senior centers and more. For the past 20 years, S.A.S. has offered Art with the Masters classes, summer camps, guest-artist workshops, art treks, after-school art club and monthly gallery exhibits . The Studio also has a Clay Cellar with pottery wheels, slabroller, kiln, tools and glazes, all available for co-op members.

About Tailing Loop Winery

Upon founding the Tailing Loop Winery, we had a clear goal: to emphasize both the astounding natural beauty of Montana along with its rich history by preserving and building upon the honorable traditions of the Mountain West. We had a vision of what our establishment would look like, and when we located the Glacier Gallery property in the scenic Flathead Valley, we felt that it was the perfect embodiment of that core concept. The grit of the structure’s long history is a testament the devotion of the previous owner, Dr. Van Kirke Nelson, MD and his family. It was that essence that appealed to us on a deeper level. What does Keller Williams Realty Northwest Montana and Halloween have in common? ….. Trunk or Treat of Course. 

On Friday, October 29, 2021, from 5:30 until 8pm, Keller Williams Realty will host a trunk or treat at the Southfield Tower Parking Lot located at 1830 3rd Avenue East in Kalispell.  Guests are invited to wear a fun Halloween Costume and get some candy from your favorite trunks. There will also be a food truck on site as well. The event is free, but guests are asked to bring a donation of socks, gloves or hats to help support the Warming Center. Learn more – HERE.

The mission of the Flathead Warming Center is to save lives and encourage dignity through low barrier access to a warm safe place to sleep for anyone in need throughout the coldest months of the year. We provide seasonal, low barrier access to night shelter services regardless of an individual or family’s personal barriers to housing security. The Flathead Warming Center is founded on Christian principles. “We love because He first loved us.” ~ 1 John 4:19. It really is that simple. We are called to love and care for those in need. Attention Trunk or Treaters….there is blue light special in the Kmart Evergreen parking lot……

On Saturday, October 30, 2021, starting at 2pm and ending at 5pm, the Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse will be at the Kmart Evergreen parking lot for a little Halloween fun. First responders, local businesses and community partners will all be coming together to celebrate in a fun and safe way for the holiday. So, put on your costume or just your Halloween spirit and come out and enjoy this wonderful community event.

About the Sheriff’s Posse

Today’s Sheriff’s Posse works closely with Flathead County Sheriff’s Department and is made up of volunteers who care about and want to serve their community. The primary objectives of the Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse are the following:

To support the Sheriff in his service to the citizens of the county.
To preserve crime scene evidence.
To aid in natural disasters and evacuation efforts for protection of the public.
To provide security at the Northwest Montana Fair.
To provide crowd control at large community events.
To provide security at High School Sporting events.
To support other Law Enforcement Agencies throughout Flathead County such as Kalispell, Bigfork, Whitefish, and Columbia Falls.

Get ready…..Trunk or Treat is coming to The Springs at the Whitefish Parking Lot on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 4pm until 6pm. The vehicles will arrive and set up their trunks for treating. 3rd Annual Grape Stomp

Have you wanted to be like “I Love Lucy” and take a try at crushing grapes with your feet?  On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, starting a 4pm, you can have a chance to put your feet to work in a vat of real grapes at The Tailing Loop Winery. 

“The Stomping vats are available for both adults and kids, as all ages are welcome to attend. Furry family members may also witness the action.”

Tickets are $10 for everyone above the age of 12. Kids are free to participate. All of the proceeds are split evenly between the musicians and a local charity. This year’s chosen charity is Boys & Girls Club of Glacier County. The men and women of this organization worked tirelessly to help the children of the community throughout the Pandemic, and now they are able to return their services to the Evergreen school system. What a wonderful way to start the 2021 school year! Let’s help them by showing our love and support. Get you tickets – HERE. 

3rd Annual Grape Stomp Details

FOOD: We will have the BBQ rolling all day, offering a selection of your favorite foods, hot off the grill. The cost will be $10 per plate, and will include entrees, side dishes, and dessert.

MUSIC: The live music lineup is still To Be Determined, and will be announced soon!

PRIZES: We will be offering raffle tickets for sale with a variety of prizes up for grabs! 1 Ticket for $1, or an arm’s length for $5. Tickets will be available for purchase all day, with drawing happening every hour. Rewards include: wine bottles, gift cards, wine growlers, % off tab, & other wino merchandise. Our GRAND prize will be drawn at 7pm (with all raffle tickets returned to the pot), and you must be present to win. What is this Grand Prize you ask? A private party for up to 50 people in the Tasting Room, FREE of charge, and with a charcutterie spread and live musical performance included. Date to be arranged by winner.

ACTIVITIES: This year there will be a tie dye station for your white Tailing Loop T-Shirts (available for $12), along with an area to “stomp” them with your grapey feet if you prefer! Yard games including corn hole, ladder golf, bocce ball, and horseshoes will be ready for use.

MEMBERS: Are you ready for your membership perks? Bring your Membership Card with you to the check in table and receive a FREE wine glass with the Tailing Loop logo. For all other attendees, logo wine glasses will be available for purchase at $7/glass.

PARKING: The Tasting Room lot is likely to fill up very quickly, and so additional parking will be available across Shady Lane in the Rainbow Bar parking lot. Please, for your safety, utilize the crosswalk at Shady Lane to cross!

If you enjoy shopping, live music, prepared foods and the freshest products from local farmers, then you really need to check out the Whitefish Farmers’ Market. The Whitefish Downtown Farmers’ Market takes place Tuesdays all summer long from 5:00pm until 7:30pm, and the market will end on September 28, 2021. There will be a bonus harvest market on October 12 though. This market is organized by the Heart of Whitefish, The downtown merchants’ association.
