Samaritan House Cowboy Up Fundraiser

Are you ready to party for a cause? On Saturday, April 9, 2022, The Samaritan House is hosting the 15th Annual Cowboy Up Fundraiser at Snowline Acres in Kalispell, Montana. At 5pm the doors will open to a full night of dinner, live auction, silent auction, music and just a great night of fun!

“Our live + silent auctions will have goods and services donated by local businesses and individuals from Flathead Valley. You’re not going to want to miss what’s up for grabs! All proceeds from our auction go directly towards our mission here at Samaritan House. We’re passionate about providing our homeless community with resources and we can’t do that without your help.”

The Samaritan House Cowboy Up Fundraiser has over 100 items to be auctioned off from private guided Snowshoe Tours in Glacier National Park and Fishing Charters on Flathead Lake to Private Bottling Party, Artwork and more. There will be something for every person to bid to support the Samaritan House.

About Samaritan House

The Samaritan House is a local nonprofit seeking to end homelessness in the Flathead Valley. We come alongside residents in a variety of ways, including encouraging their efforts to find employment and housing. On a typical nightly stay at Samaritan House, there are 64 clients in the shelter program and 32 clients in our transitional and permanent apartments. Our shelter program has the capacity to house 32 individuals, 4 families, 4 individual veteran pods, and 14 individual transitional apartments. Samaritan House also has the ability to provide permanent apartments to those who have completed the shelter program. Chili Cook Off

Do you have what it takes to cook the best chili in the Valley? But, if you do not want to cook, how are you at eating? On Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 1pm until 4pm, at the Kalispell Elks Lodge & Event Center. Guests can enjoy all the chili that can be eaten including the fix-ens all for $10. Plus, children 12 and under are free. My True Freedom band will be performing live throughout the event. So, come on out to the Annual Chili Cook-Off and have some fun selecting the best chili chef.

The Bigfork Farmer’s Market Cooperative takes place on Wednesdays from Mid-May through Mid-October in Bigfork, Montana. This year the market will open on May 18 through October 12, 2022, from 3 until 6pm. The Bigfork Farmer’s Market Cooperative is located at 22 Swan Way Bigfork next to the Liquor Barn at the intersection of Hwy 35 and Hwy 83. Local vendors and food trucks are all welcome at the market which means guests can find handcrafted items like woodworking, fresh flowers, produce, jewelry, hand crafted quilts, candy, and so much more.

“We are a Not-for-Profit Organization​​ owned by vendors dedicated to providing a low cost venue for Local Artists & Craftsmen, and Local Farmers. We work with other Non-Profit and Not-for-Profit Organizations throughout Flathead, Lake, and Sanders Counties. We were incorporated in 2007, serving these counties for 13 years.”

Backslope Brewing will be donating a portion of their sales for the day to the Flathead Celtic Festival. This year the Flathead Celtic Festival is excited to do something new…. A Feis (pronounced Fesh) which is an Irish Dance Competition. The Feis Fundraiser will raise support for this first of its kind event in the entire state of Montana.

On April 1st, 2022, the Aloha Luau Fundraiser will take place at the Red Lion Inn Hotel in Kalispell. The Kickin’ Back for Orange And Black Aloha Luau Fundraiser is the Flathead High School’s Annual Fundraiser. There will be great food, drinks, and fun to help raise money for the Flathead Booster Club to support all of the activities for students at Flathead High School.

Tickets for the Aloha Luau Fundraiser are $50.00 per person and you must be 21+ or older to attend. Tickets can be purchased at Flathead Activities, Coach or Director of a Program, and from Booster members. On Saturday, March 19, 2022, Flathead Valley Ducks Unlimited presents Flathead Valley Firearm Frenzy. The doors open at 11am where guests will get to enjoy a great event, food, and lots of chances to win firearms and other cool stuff. There will be guns from the following manufacturers: Mossberg, Ruger, Savage, Taurus, CVA, Franchi, Canik, ATI, Beretta, Kimber, Tikka and Winchester. Everyone can have as many chances as they would like by purchases raffle tickets. Tickets are $20 each, 6 tickets for $100, and 20 for $250. Your $20 FIREARM FRENZY ticket not only gets you into the 20 Gun Super Raffle, but it gets you into the event for FREE FOOD and DRINKS!!! Hockaday ARTS IN THE PARK

Arts in the Park

There is nothing like a weekend filled with arts, crafts, music, food and fun. The Hockaday Arts in the Park festival is certainly a local favorite. This festival is one of the longest running arts festivals in Montana. The festival is held in the Kalispell Depot Park in the center of Downtown Kalispell Friday through Saturday, July 15 to 17, 2022. Guests will expect to enjoy juried art and craft booths, food and specialty booths, live music and entertainment, premium wine and beer garden and lots of fun children’s activities.

Arts in the Park is a benefit event for the Hockaday Museum of Art. All admission proceeds support the Museum in its mission and programs.
For your safety, Arts in the Park will be following all CDC and health department requirements regarding COVID-19 health requirements including masking, social distancing and increased sanitization measures.

The cultural history of the Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park
The Hockaday Museum of Art itself is housed in a stunning classical-revival-style building, originally erected as the town library in 1901. In addition to rotating exhibits, it has a permanent “Crown of the Continent” exhibition that features 15 historic Glacier National Park murals, as well as work from some of the best-known Western artists, including Charles M.
