Hockaday ARTS IN THE PARK

There is nothing like a weekend filled with arts, crafts, music, food and fun. The Hockaday Arts in the Park festival is certainly a local favorite. This festival is one of the longest running arts festivals in Montana. The festival is held in the Kalispell Depot Park in the center of Downtown Kalispell Friday through Saturday, July 15 to 17, 2022. Guests will expect to enjoy juried art and craft booths, food and specialty booths, live music and entertainment, premium wine and beer garden and lots of fun children’s activities.

Hockaday ARTS IN THE PARK Details

Arts in the Park is a benefit event for the Hockaday Museum of Art. All admission proceeds support the Museum in its mission and programs.
For your safety, Arts in the Park will be following all CDC and health department requirements regarding COVID-19 health requirements including masking, social distancing and increased sanitization measures.

Admission is $5 for a 3-day unlimited pass (which also grants you admission to the Museum during or after the festival), and children under 12 are free. Buy your pass button in advance at the museum! Learn more about the Hockaday Arts in the Park – HERE.

Hockaday Museum of Art

The cultural history of the Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park
The Hockaday Museum of Art itself is housed in a stunning classical-revival-style building, originally erected as the town library in 1901. In addition to rotating exhibits, it has a permanent “Crown of the Continent” exhibition that features 15 historic Glacier National Park murals, as well as work from some of the best-known Western artists, including Charles M. Cloverfest

It is time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Columbia Falls at the Annual Cloverfest 2022. The Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to wear green and celebrate at this family-friendly event. The Cloverfest will feature live music, multiple bands, performance by local musicians playing bagpipe and instruments, a 5k run, 1 mile fun run, food trucks, beer and distillery garden, themed competitions, kids carnival and so much more.

Location: Super 1 Foods Parking Lot. 2100 9th Street West, Columbia Falls. The 5k, Fun Run and kids carnival will be outside, but the live music, competitions and other fun will be inside a heated, enclosed party tent!

Featured Distillery: Glacier Distilling Company

Featured Food Trucks: Piroshki Palace, Montana Mountain Dawgs, 406 BBQ

Cost: The price to enter the big tent, listen to the live music and have the opportunity to participate in the themed competitions is $10.00/person, kids 12 and under are free. ID check required by all attendees upon entrance to the tent.

Cloverfest 5k: $30.00/person

The Cloverfest 5k is a timed 5k starting at11:00am on Saturday, March 12th 2022. The race will start and end at Super 1 Foods in Columbia Falls, Montana. Entry fee is $30/racer, which includes an official time, standings and a race shirt. 5K is open to runners and walkers. Register by February 28th, 2022 to be guaranteed a race shirt.

Top Male and Female Medals Given Out in the Following Categories: 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Cloverfest Fun Run : $15.00/person

The Cloverfest Fun Run is a mile long run/walk starting at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 12th 2022. The fun run is open to adults and children of all ages, infant strollers welcomed! $15/person to participate, which includes a race shirt and swag bag from Hammer Nutrition. Dress in green as there will be a costume contest at the end of the race as well as other themed awards! Register by February 28th, 2022 to be guaranteed a race shirt.

Themed Awards include Most “Cloverly” Dressed, Better Luck Next Year, In Pursuit of the Gold, Ready to Shamrock, Golden Achiever, & Youngest Leprechaun.

Kids Carnival: 11:00am-2:00pm

Bring the whole family for an exciting St. Patrick’s themed kids carnival! FREE face painting by Ladybug face painting, sponsored by Schellinger Construction, carnival games, live music, food trucks and more during the carnival! Tickets to play the games are $1.00/ticket or an arms length for only $10.00. Wear your green and have some good old family fun!

All games are 1 ticket. Tickets sold at the carnival, 1 for $1.00 or $10.00 for an arms length.

K-5 Students: Enter the Cloverfest coloring contest by Friday, March 4th. Prizes for each grade are as follows: 1st Place: 10 free carnival tickets, 2nd Place: 5 free carnival tickets, 3rd Place: 3 free carnival tickets. Pancake Breakfast

There is something so wonderful when it comes to a nice big breakfast and of course pancakes! On Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 8 am until 11 am, head over to the Whitefish Foursquare Church located at 233 Kalispell Avenue in Whitefish for a Pancake Breakfast. There will be pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, coffee, juice and tea. All of the proceeds will benefit the Flathead Celtic Festival 501 (c) 3. The Pancake Breakfast & the Flathead Celtic Festival

The Flathead Celtic Festival is an organization dedicated to promoting, preserving, and exposing our community to Celtic culture for the educational benefit of the people in this region and its visitors. The organization provides education through locals and visitors to music, dance, history, ancestry, language, food, crafts, and traditional athletic events in public venues as well as utilizing the corporation’s website to provide facts, statistics, and other related data on Celtic Nations.

Our programs include holding fundraising events in order to promote our agenda and create funds to make the festival fiscally viable and sustainable for years to come.

The Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser is a great way to support the upcoming Flathead Celtic Festival which will take place on September 9-10, 2022 at the Centennial Farm in Kalispell. All of the proceeds benefit the Flathead Celtic Festival. Mark your calendars because on April 5, the Feis Fundraiser will take place at backslope brewing in Columbia Falls. Learn more – HERE.

Spring Brewfest 2022

Would you be interested in drinking beer for a great cause? On April 2, 2022, from 1pm until 4pm, you are invited to the S.N.O.W. Bus Fundraiser – Spring Brewfest 2022 at Whitefish Mountain Resort Village. The Spring Brewfest 2022 supports FREE public transportation between Whitefish and Whitefish Mountain Resort.

Tickets for the Spring Brewfest 2022 are $25 in advance, $30 at the Door and $5 under 21 and for Designated Drivers. Tickets can be purchased at the Whitefish Mountain Resort Guest and Info Center, Sportsman Ski Haus in Kalispell, and Bonsai Brewing Project in Whitefish. Learn more – HERE.

About Big Mountain Commercial Association

The Big Mountain Commercial Association is a non-profit public trade association that raises funds to pay for common services and programs. These include funding for the SNOW bus, Big Mountain Road winter maintenance, the Big Mountain Summer & Spring Brewfest, and the Winter Winefest.

Our objective is to be a community forum for the development of new ideas and projects that will enhance Big Mountain, Whitefish and the Flathead valley.

Sportsmans Expo 2022

Are your bags packed and are your ready to go on your next adventure? The Sportsmans Expo 2022 is taking place this weekend, Friday through Sunday ( February 25-27, 2022) , at the Flathead County Fairgrounds & Trade Center. There are lots of exhibitors who are participating in the Sportsmans Expo 2022 including the North Valley Search and Rescue, Zink’s Big Sky Archery, Grizzly Bamboo Rods, Life Flight Network and Bow Buddy just to name a few. There will lots of contests and prizes for some lucky guests including $250 Gift Certificates to the Army Navy Daily, Door Prizes, Big Buck Contest, Trail Camera Contest, Fly Casting Contest, and many more. Plus, there will be lots of great guest activities even for the young guests like a Kid’s Fishing Pond and Lady Bug Face Painting.

Father-Daughter Winter Ball

There is something so magical about a Father Daughter dance…. and you can make you daughter’s dreams come true at the Father-Daughter Winter ball at the O’Shaughnessy Center on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 6:30pm. The 7th Annual Father-Daughter Winter Ball is presented by the Whitefish Theatre Company, Pixelated Gigs and Destination DJ. There will be dancing, a photo booth , desserts and beverages. This will surely be a night to remember forever.

FREE Valentine’s Craft Day!

Are you looking for something fun and affordable to do in celebration for Valentine’s Day? On Saturday February 12, 2022, from noon until 2pm, head over to the Stumptown Art Studio in Whitefish, Montana, for a little bit of crafty fun. The classroom will be set up for everyone to make cards and little Valentine’s gifts to give to friends, family and maybe even your sweetie.

There is no registration needed to participate in the Free Valentine’s Day Craft Day. Simply, drop into the studio anytime from noon until 2pm. Cookies and hot chocolate will also be served to help inspire those crafty minds.

Stumptown Art Studio provides art opportunities for kids and adults in our own classroom and off-site art instruction in area schools through field trips and off-site outreach classes. Frosty the Brewfest 2022

Are you ready for the coolest party in town? Mark your calendars and get ready for the Frosty The Brewfest 2022!

On Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 2 pm until 6pm, the 3rd Annual Frosty the Brewfest is coming to town, specifically 41 3rd Street West in Kalispell, Montana. This cool event will feature four hours of live music by Angel & Davey and The Kenny James Miller Band, brewfest, food trucks and outdoor events like the “ kids dash for gear”, “fat tire bike races”, and “frosty the beard contest”.

What makes this year’s event even better is that 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Kalispell Downtown Association and The Flathead Warming Center.

Mark you calendars for Frosty the Brewfest 2022 – Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 2-6pm at 41 3rd St West in Kalispell.

Look for the heated tent in the Valley Bank parking lot located on the corner of 3rd St. W and 1st Ave. West in downtown Kalispell. This is a family friendly event so come out and enjoy some great brews, food, music and family fun and raise money for the community we love.

Valentine’s Day Dance

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, It’s Time to go to the Valentine’s Day Dance Too. On Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 7pm til 9pm. the Valentine’s Day Dance will take place at the Linderman Education Center. There will be dancing, food, drinks, games prizes and so much more. Whitefish Christmas Stroll

The Christmas Stroll is coming to downtown Whitefish on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 5:30pm until 9pm!

As you stroll down the beautiful Downtown Whitefish streets, guests will get to catch up with friends, sing and eat. Have you ever seen fire dancers? Guests will have an opportunity to see the amazing talents of the fire dancers and can even take pictures with Santa and pet the sled dogs. Support your local shops and businesses and so much more!!!
