On Saturday, October 30, 2021, starting at 2pm and ending at 5pm, the Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse will be at the Kmart Evergreen parking lot for a little Halloween fun. First responders, local businesses and community partners will all be coming together to celebrate in a fun and safe way for the holiday. So, put on your costume or just your Halloween spirit and come out and enjoy this wonderful community event.
About the Sheriff’s Posse
Today’s Sheriff’s Posse works closely with Flathead County Sheriff’s Department and is made up of volunteers who care about and want to serve their community. The primary objectives of the Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse are the following:
To support the Sheriff in his service to the citizens of the county.
To preserve crime scene evidence.
To aid in natural disasters and evacuation efforts for protection of the public.
To provide security at the Northwest Montana Fair.
To provide crowd control at large community events.
To provide security at High School Sporting events.
To support other Law Enforcement Agencies throughout Flathead County such as Kalispell, Bigfork, Whitefish, and Columbia Falls.

Get ready…..Trunk or Treat is coming to The Springs at the Whitefish Parking Lot on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 4pm until 6pm. The vehicles will arrive and set up their trunks for treating. On Thursday, October 21, 2021, starting at 11am until 2pm, the Chick-fil-A Kalispell Fall Festival will take place at Chick-fil-A in Kalispell. The festival will have lots of wonderful activities and treats for kids to enjoy. There will be pumpkin decorating, face painting, and even the Chick-fil-A infamous tortilla soup and mouth-watering chocolate fudge brownie samples. On your marks…Get Set…Come on out to the 4th Annual Harvest Havoc presented by Action Rentals. This event will take place at the Kokomos’ ATV Park -6235 Highway 93 North (Mile Marker 141.5) about 11 miles north of Whitefish, and 7 miles south of Olney. Participants will get to have some fun a MX-style twisty jumpy track. Action Rentals will bring ATV (four-wheelers), UTV, Tough Truck, and Motorcycle bouts for adults. For children 6 to 17 years old, Action Rentals will bring ATV (four-wheeler). New this year is that the group is inviting children’s motorcycle racers too. Learn more – HERE.

There will be food vendors and a beer garden provided on site. Please refrain from bringing coolers. Please do not bring your fur babies to this event. We would hate to see them harmed or lost in the surrounding woods. Thanks for your understanding.
Pit Passes:
Must be with a driver to obtain. No exceptions. Drivers your Pit Crew may consist of 2 Crew Members. Pit Passes are $15 for each person. MUST BE 18 OR Older to be in pit except and only during the time of youth races, youth will have to clear the pit after each youth race. If you have special considerations or needs, please contact us directly to discuss.

Dinner, Raffles, Bingo and auctions….plus lots of entertainment at the 32nd Log Jam. On Saturday, October 2, 2021 starting at 4pm, the Montana 32nd Log Jam will take place at the Flathead County Fairgrounds Trade Center located at 265 N. Meridian Road in Kalispell, Montana. Montana Log Jam is a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness to assist Montana families of loggers, log truck drivers, and mill workers killed or critically injured in work related accidents.

The doors open at 4pm at the Flathead County Fairgrounds Trade Center, Dinner begins at 4:30pm with Bingo and the auction starting at 6pm. The dancing begins at 8:30pm with the Copper Mountain Band. There are several raffles that will also give everyone a chance to win some great prizes including Mountain bikes, 2020 Yamaha Viking VI EPS and $15,000 CASH. The Great Northwest Oktoberfest’s back … and we’re ‘goin’ to town!
The Great Northwest Oktoberfest is coming to town this September 23-25, 2021. This year’s fest will take place at three unique Whitefish, Montana, watering holes – the Great Northern Bar & Grill, Casey’s and the Montana Tap House. Each unique venue will host the wonderful Oktoberfest tradition on a specific date.

It isn’t Oktoberfest with out polkas, oom-pahs & chicken dancing! Join us this fall for music by one of America’s most popular Oktoberfest bands … and traditional German schuhplattler dancers as well:
The Europa Band One of the top Oktoberfest bands in the country — Europa — is back by popular demand for their ninth year, providing authentic Oktoberfest music like no other! John, Milan and Adam travel coast-to-coast each Fall playing at Oktoberfests from Montana to Florida and back again, cranking-out the oom-pah, polka and waltzes … along with a bit of country, gypsy fiddle and Carlos Santana!

Schuhplattler Gruppe Alpenrose New this year to Whitefish — but not to Oktoberfest — will be performances by Schuhplattler Gruppe Alpenrose, a traditional German folk dance troupe from Casselberry, Florida! Schuhplattler dancing features ornately-dressed performers stomping, clapping and slapping their shoes, thighs and knees in what Wikipedia calls “choreographed horseplay.” Two performances per night, the first weekend of Oktoberfest (Sept. 23-25 only).
MIA … The Western Senators Much to our dismay, our original Oktoberfest Band — the Western Senators — are still being held hostage by COVID-19, and can’t make their way through the closed Canadian border to get here from Saskatchewan. We’re hoping they’ll be back with us is 2022; for info on the Western Senators go to: http://www.westernsenators.com/.

Then be in the Beer Garden at the Montana Tap House on the final evening of Oktoberfest to see who gets crowned!
Sept. 25 — Men’s and Ladies Stein-Holding Grand Championships Be in front of the Main Stage at 7 p.m. sharp, when the top finishers from this year’s stein-holding competitions square-off for the “Grand Championships,” and a shot a winning a spot in next year’s Hofbrau Stein-Holding National Championships in New York City!

Thursday and Friday nights are 21+ ONLY events; ID will be required. Kids under 12 (accompanied by a parent) are free on Saturday afternoon at the Tap House.
Advance sale tickets are on sale starting September 14, 2021. Stop by the Whitefish Chamber and each of the clubs that are hosting the fest. You can expect for the tickets to sell out, so get them soon.
It has certainly been a long, hot summer in the Kalispell area, and as the school year gets started, you are invited to enjoy Locals Day. On Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 10 am until 6pm, locals will get to enjoy the First Annual Locals Day. This special event offers a special admission pass to three museums: Northwest Montana History Museum, the Hockaday Museum of Art and the Conrad Mansion Museum. The pass is only $10 for all three museums and will allow unlimited admission on September 18, 2021.
Locals Day Details
Locals Day will take place on September 18, 2021, from 10am until 6pm at the Northwest Montana History Museum, the Hockaday Museum of Art and the Conrad Mansion Museum. A representative will be at each museum location to stamp the pass cards when you enter each building. Anyone who collects tamps from all three museums will get the chance to when a raffle drawing for a grand prize. There will be multiple chances to win a variety of gits filled with items and gift certificates to local Flathead Valley Businesses. Admission for children under the age of 12 is free and $10 for everyone else. Each child in attendance will receive a scavenger hunt game that if completed and turned it will make them eligible to win a grand prize of their very own. There will be multiple chances to win. All children need to be accompanied by an adult to participate on Local’s Day.

This may very well be the yummiest book you could ever sink your teeth into….and, of course, I really mean literally! If you have never heard or never participated in the Edible Book Contest & Feast, this is your opportunity to be part of something very special. Entries to the 4th Annual Edible Book Content can register from 1:30 to 2pm on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Whitefish Community Library. There will be be lots of great prizes to be won and of course a great feast, not to mention there will also be a book sale during the event.
The Whitefish Community Library has created this perfect mix of education and fun to entice a wide variety of participants. Whether you create a Frank In Stein or a Lard of the Rings edible arrangement, we invite everyone to put on their thinking caps and participate in this great event.

The Rogues Houston’s Often Imitated but Never Duplicated AWARD WINNING Celtic Band. Founded in Houston in 1994, The Rogues created a new genre of Celtic music with exceptionally well-played pipes and driving percussion and have become award-winning international artists. From Scottish Highland games to performing with a symphony orchestra, The Rogues deliver a commanding performance. The Rogues have performed in Las Vegas, Scotland, Greece, Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Canada, several cruises and all over the United States. Usually performing with 2 pipers and 2 percussionists, our roster includes 12 top notch players from around the country. OPAL the Fairy Opal is a whismical fae creature that spreads joy through the art of bubbles! Bashful, yet graceful she embodies childlike wonder. Thomas Wood, Pyro Juggler Thomas Wood, the Pyro juggler has been making his living as a showman for the past 20 years perfecting his whimsical art form to the point where he can make a living at it. He started off learning juggling from a book worked on it for several years until he got to know every trick in the book. Juggler, fire eater, comedian, adventurer.
Franceska the pirate Children of all ages, mostly the small ones. We’ll get a chance to battle Franceska the pirate and learn the art of swashbuckling and piracy in a kid friendly environment.
Songs of the nightingale Songs of the Nightingale is all about the mystical magic of faeries, nature and finding the light within. Connor O’Carraig, Magician The worlds Tallest Leprechaun is excited to be joining us at the Montana Renaissance Faire! Connor O’Carraig has been a student of the Vanishing Arts for 20 years, and has been performing magic ALL OVER THE COUNTRY for the last 10 years!
